A son of the soil. A record of delivery.
From the Speaker's chair to the grassroots, his service has always returned to the people of Ikwuano and Umuahia.

Rt. Hon. Engr. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, fondly called Ikuku, is an engineer, philanthropist, and seasoned legislator born on the 25th of December 1970 in Amaokwe, Ugba Autonomous Community, Umuahia North. Public service runs through his story, and so does a simple habit of getting things done.
He served in the Abia State House of Assembly as Majority Leader from 2015, and went on to become the 11th Speaker of the House, leading the 7th Assembly from 2019 to 2023. Across those years he built a reputation for steady leadership, landmark lawmaking, and a constituency presence measured not in promises but in completed projects.
Beyond the chamber, his name is tied to boreholes that run, roads that open up communities, schools that have been rebuilt, transformers that restored light, and thousands of young people equipped with skills and tools to earn a living. That same spirit of measurable service is what he now offers at the federal level.
